Updated Aims and Intentions (but its too long!)

Aims and Int e ntions    I will use media language to create a brand for my show which  t arget s   18-35 year old  ‘millennial’ audiences, and will reflect both the crime drama genre as well as creating my own unique identifying feature.  The sequence will  use both high-key ( e.g.  therapy scene) and low-key lighting ( e.g.  outdoors) which will contrast against each other. As well as this it will provide a typical setting of an established city and the alleyways that lay within them,  similar to  how Sherlock does with London. With the editing the show will consist of quickly cuts to build up tension when action is taking  place, point of views shots to see the perspectives of the characters and establishing shots to set the scene.  For  the print-text I will use colours such as blacks, whites and red which are common to the crime drama genre as well as horror . Initial Response

My initial response to the brief was that I was excited to create something of my own from scratch, however partially scared with the freedom we have with creating the piece.   The main thing that I am looking forward towards is making my own TV show!! - this includes both the planning and making of the show. This is because it allows me to make anything that takes my interests, whether it be a talk show to a drama. It also allows me to discover and develop new skills to which I can then use later on in my own projects. However, what does worry me is having to make this programme suitable for the specific criteria at hand, which includes: having the show either airing on ITV or Channel 5, targeting an audience of 18-35 year 'millennials' and basing it on a key narrative structure (a key turning point, a point of significant conflict or a resolution).
